More Information

Age Range

At Willow Tree Nursery, we welcome children aged 2 to 5 years. This is a special stage of rapid growth and discovery, and we are here to support each child on their journey with care, encouragement and fun.

Activities

We believe that learning should be exciting and enjoyable. At Willow Tree Nursery, we gently introduce children to the foundations of the school curriculum through playful and purposeful activities, inspired by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Each day is carefully planned to give children meaningful experiences—whether they’re exploring with friends, learning through hands-on resources, or engaging with our enthusiastic team.

Some of our favourite activities include:

  • Bubble time

  • Arts and crafts

  • Dancing and singing

  • Story time and puppet shows

  • Fun science experiments

  • Early writing and language games

  • Role play and imaginative adventures

We also have a cosy library corner, where children enjoy browsing books and listening to stories. Our little learners love messy play—from pasta and paint to water, sand, and even icy surprises!

Even everyday routines like nappy changing, potty training and toilet time are full of learning opportunities—whether it’s singing songs, chatting, or counting together.

Above all, we encourage children to follow their curiosity. Many of our activities are sparked by their own ideas, with thoughtful support from our creative and caring team.

Child Protection

At Willow Tree Nursery, the safety and well-being of every child is our highest priority. We are committed to creating an environment where every child feels safe, valued and protected.

We ensure:

  • All children are safeguarded, regardless of age, background, ability, gender or belief.

  • Our team provides continuous care and supervision, creating a secure and nurturing setting.

  • All staff members undergo an enhanced DBS check before working independently with children.

  • Any concerns or suspicions of abuse are addressed promptly and sensitively, in line with our Child Protection Policy.

  • Our staff are trained in paediatric first aid, ensuring they can respond swiftly and confidently when needed.

Health and Safety

Your child’s health and safety are extremely important to us. All staff receive regular training in our Health and Safety procedures to maintain the highest standards of care.

Equipment

Our indoor and outdoor toys, learning materials and garden equipment are routinely checked, cleaned and maintained to make sure they are always safe, engaging and ready for play.
